Duties

TA positions include grading of assignments, tests, and exams, invigilation of tests and exams, and the teaching of tutorials. Grader positions involve grading of assignments, tests, and exams. TAs and Graders are expected to be physically present on campus for the duration of the employment period; they are also expected to regularly check their email and promptly respond to all course-related communication. Short Term or Academic Conference Leaves can be requested in accordance with Article 20 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 Collective Agreement. Positions and hours are tentative, pending final course enrolment.

Qualifications

Experience as a TA or Grader (in any course) is preferred. Applicants should hold at least a BA in Linguistics; for LIN101H1, LIN102H1, LIN200H1, and LIN228H1, applicants should normally have completed LIN322H1, LIN331H1 and LIN341H1 or equivalent. For the others, the applicant should normally have completed at least the course in question.
