Qualifications

Includes: ability, academic qualifications,suitability for the position and appropriatebackground in the subject/specialty,specifically strong background in abnormalpsychology, behaviour modificationtechniques, should have coursework inprinciples of behavioural change includingreinforcement, extinction, punishment andstimulus control; operant and respondentconditioning procedures; research strategies.Knowledge of the following areas an asset:behavioural contracting, cognitive-behaviour therapy, rational-emotive therapy, andsystematic desensitization, treatment ofphobias, treatment of alcohol and drug abuse.
