The purpose of this TAship is to assist in developing a probability question bank for use by students in the course. Duties include, but are not limited to, creating and typesetting probability problems and solutions with feedback from the instructors.
Successful applicants should have excellent knowledge of probability theory, strong written communication skills, and an interest in teaching beginners. In addition, they should have experience typesetting mathematics in LaTex, and creating publication-quality graphs in Python. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed graduate courses in probability theory and have demonstrated ability in the above skills. These paid positions are open only to University of Toronto Students who have demonstrated a sound knowledge of the relevant subject matter and who have the ability to impart that knowledge to other students. All contracts are by session and extend for four months each as per the length of each session.
