Duties for the position may vary and include: must be available to lead assigned weekly tutorial (check UTSC timetable for tutorial times and make sure you are available before applying - please include your availability with your application), marking writing assignments, administrative and clerical duties, office hours andemail contact with students,invigilating exams, supervising student projects, grading short answers/essays on exams, providing students with feedback, composing testquestions.
Includes: ability, academic qualifications,suitability for the position and appropriate background in the subject/specialty,specifically knowledge of research design, various research methods used in Psychology research, sampling techniques, data interpretation and data analysis. Having a background in R is an asset, but can also be taught through training by instructor if TA is willing to learn. There may be an interview with the professor to assess candidate's background knowledge.
