Duties

The TAs hired for this position will work with the course director to facilitate two hour bi-weekly sessions with students engaged in a year-long class research project on antimicrobial resistance. TAs will also assist with coordinating and supervising 8 hours of laboratory sessions requiring skill is sterile technique under flame, sample collection and streaking. TAs must be able to attend all scheduled sessions and labs, have at least 3 years experience planning, conducting and presenting independent research projects, as well as strong organizational and communication skills and familiarity with the problem of antibiotic resistance. Demonstrated experience with statistics software is an asset. Duties will include student contact time during and outside of seminars, student evaluation, set up and clean up of labs, and exam invigilation.
