Duties

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have at least a Masters in theatre or drama with training and experience in acting. Candidates should have strong written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated interest in science and/or engineering and teaching theatre for non-actors. Preferred Qualifications include experience teaching basic performance skills, directing and familiarity with engineering communication practices and/or training/experience in second-language instruction at the university level. Teaching Assistants will attend and provide instructional support during seminar and studio classes (seminars - Monday 5:00 to 7:00 pm and studios - Wednesdays 6:00 to 8:00 pm); provide feedback and coaching on performance topics during studio; meet with the course coordinator one hour per week to discuss seminar and studio plans; and grade assignments throughout the term (up to 3 written assignments; 3 scene performances).
